I've had the privilege to study with some amazing musicians.

Michael Bacon (Lehman College, New York City)

Have you ever seen a documentary on PBS?  Then you've heard Michael's music.  I had the absolute joy to work with him in New York preparing his classes at Lehman College.  Mr. Bacon has a great website: http://www.michaelbaconmusic.com

Morten Lauridsen (USC)

I studied choral music with the master at USC in 2008.

Check out his amazing work at http://mortenlauridsen.net

Joel McNeely (USC)

Film and TV composer and amazing conductor of film scores.  I took Mr. McNeely's orchestration classes at USC.

Dave Samuels (Berklee)

Legendary vibes player who leads the Caribbean Jazz Project.  I studied privately with Mr. Samuels at Berklee in 1998-1999.

Jack Smalley (USC)

Composer on such TV shows as Murder, She Wrote and Charlie's Angels.  Mr. Smalley was my main teacher of orchestration during my years in Los Angeles.

Check out his wiki page- I wrote it!  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jack_smalley

Frank Ticheli (USC)

What an honor it was to study with Dr. Ticheli for a semester and get his feedback on my music for young concert band.  His huge catalog of band music is at frankticheli.com.

Brent Huber, Kerry Nichols, Randy Wanless (ASIJ)

Music teachers at the American School In Japan who gave me the opportunity to work with their bands, choirs, musical theater productions, and composition classes from 2008-2010.  These three gentlemen were always ready to make me a better teacher, a better composer, and a better musician.  I’ll always be thankful for their patience and support.
